KCR to launch Neera Café on Necklace Road
Goud said the CM announced the neera policy with an aim to benefit toddy-tappers
HYDERABAD: Excise minister V. Srinivas Goud on Thursday directed officials to expedite the setting up of Neera Cafes in identified locations across the state.
He said that the works pertaining to Neera Cafe being set up in Necklace Road at a cost of Rs 20 crore have been completed and this will be inaugurated shortly by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
The minister reviewed the implementation of the neera policy announced by the state government with senior excise officials here on Thursday. He said the Chief Minister announced the neera policy with an aim to benefit toddy-tappers and urged the community members to utilise this opportunity optimally.
The minister stated that the state government has decided to establish neera processing centres in five locations for supplying neera to these cafes. He said these centres will come up in Cherikonda in Ranga Reddy district, Munipally in Sangareddy district, Charakonda in Nagarkurnool district, Nandanam in Yadadri district and Sarvail in Nalgonda district.
