Supreme Court wants report on teachers
The SC has been hearing a petition alleging a large number of teachers vacancies in government schools since 2004.

Hyderabad: The Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the TS and AP governments to submit affidavits on the status of recruitment of teacher including special educators for children with special needs.
The next hearing is on February 9. The SC has been hearing a petition alleging a large number of teachers vacancies in government schools since 2004. Data released recently by the Union HRD ministry showed that there are 13,049 vacancies in TS and 19,468 in AP in government schools.
