THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The UDF has lashed out at the LDF government for its failures on various fronts, including law and order and the rationing system, and alleged that governance had come to a standstill in the state. The UDF which met here on Thursday said that most of the  LDF ministers were unfit for their posts. UDF convener P. P. Thankachan alleged that the government had failed to take steps to counter the  drought in the state.  Although it has been in power for the last nine months, the government is finding fault with the previous UDF government for ration fiasco, he alleged.

“Pinarayi Vijayan had come to power promising to ensure women's safety. But they have lost all sense of security, and  goondas  and quotation gangs are ruling the state,” he said. The meeting evaluated the five regional marches  held against the anti-people  policies of the LDF government and congratulated the march leaders and coordinators on their efforts. The regional marches were led by RSP MP N. K. Premachandran, KPCC vice-presidents  V. D. Satheesan and M. M. Hassan,  JD(U) senior leader Varghese George and Muslim League MLA Dr. M. K. Muneer.
