VIJAYAWADA: A delegation led by Nayee Brahmin Corporation chairman S. Yanadaiah and Nayee Brahmin JAC president G. Ramadasu called on Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy at the State Legislative Assembly here on Friday.

The delegation thanked the CM for the state cabinet’s decision to appoint Nayee Brahmins as members of temple trust boards under the Endowments Department.

Further, they appreciated the state government for issuing an order to pay a minimum wage of ₹20,000 per month to Nayee Brahmins engaged in tonsure work at temples under the Endowments Department.

The Nayee Brahmin leaders say it is Jagan Mohan Reddy who has done justice to their community and proven that backward castes form the backbone of the society.

They said they will soon hold a grand meeting to thank the Chief Minister on behalf of their community.
