No classes during summer vacations, Kadiam Srihari warns
Colleges ignoring government directions will lose affiliation, he said.
Hyderabad: Education minister Kadiam Srihari has warned of strict action against Intermediate colleges holding classes in summer holidays. Colleges ignoring government directions will lose affiliation, he said.
He said colleges were given permission to run preparatory classes for the Eamcet scheduled on May 2 following requests from parents. Some colleges are found to be conducting first year classes, which was not acceptable, he said.
“Instructions have been given to officials to inspect and serve notices to institutions that are breaking the rules,” Mr Srihari stated. It may be mentioned here that Intermediate Board officials from Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts conducted surprise raids on several colleges earlier this week. Mr Srihari stated that all private and government colleges would be asked to install CCTV cameras from the next academic year.
