19-year-old girl dies by suicide in Medchal

 Hyderabad: S. Srivani, 19, an engineering student studying in a reputed institution, died by suicide on Wednesday. Hailing from Wanaparthy district, Srivani was studying in the Government BC Hostel under Medchal Police Station limits.

Police recovered a note purportedly written by her at the spot. The note said, “I am taking this extreme step because of my boyfriend and also because of my studies. My parents and my college are not to be blamed for this.”

On Wednesday morning, alerted by the hostel staff, Medchal police rushed to the hostel and shifted her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. Medchal police registered a case and started an investigation.
