ADILABAD: Aspirants of teacher posts including women candidates, who were preparing for the DSC (Departmental Selection Committee) examination, on Saturday, staged a dharna at the district library in Mancherial district headquarters, demanding the state government give notification for a mega DSC with 13,086 posts in place of the already issued ‘mini DSC’.

Holding placards, the candidates, who were protesting under the banner of DEd and BEd Candidates Association, raised slogans like ‘mini DSC vaddu, mega DSC muddu’ (We want mega DSC, not mini DSC).

The state government had issued a notification for the DSC examination to fill  5,089 vacancies. However, the aspirants said that they were disappointed a lot as they were hoping for a notification with 13,086 posts after the formation of Telangana state.

They reminded Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of promising a notification for 13,086 teacher posts in the past.
