TTD Starts Year-long Yaga to Promote Sanatana Dharma

Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Thursday commenced the Sri Srinivasa Divyanugraha Homam at the Homa Vedika of Sapta Gau Pradakshina Mandiram near Alipiri, coinciding with Utthana Ekadasi of the sacred Karthika month. The Homam, which will go on throughout the year, will be open to Hindu devotees worldwide for a nominal fee.

Prior to commencement of the Homam, a procession was taken out carrying deities of Lord Srinivasa, along with Sridevi and Bhudevi. The deities were seated on a special platform before which the Homam was performed by Vedic pundits from the S.V. Vedic University.

Speaking on the occasion, TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy said the sole objective of the devasthanam is to facilitate divine blessings of Lord Venkateswara Swamy to devotees. He emphasised TTD’s commitment to promoting and preserving the rich heritage of Sanatana Dharma.

Karunakar Reddy announced plans for a permanent Homa Vedika, where 400–500 devotees can participate in the Human during different time slots without interruption.

Tourism Minister R.K. Roja, TTD executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy, JEOs S. Bhargavi and V. Veerabrahmam, Tirupati mayor Dr. R. Sireesha and deputy mayor Bhumana Abhinay Reddy were among those who participated in the event.
