Modi taking oath at 'inauspicious time' has led to disasters: Lalu Prasad
RJD chief, however, did not elaborate on the disasters.
Patna: In a dig at Narendra Modi, RJD chief Lalu Prasad on Sunday said the country was afflicted by a number of disasters as the Prime Minister had taken oath at an 'inauspicious' time.
"PM Modi ne ashubh samay me shapath liya. Isliye desh me apda ki bharmar ho gayi hai. (PM Modi took oath at an inauspicious time leading to increase in number of disasters in the country)," Prasad told reporters. He, however, did not elaborate on the disasters.
Stating that no one takes notice of the PM, Prasad wondered what happened to 'Adarsh Gram Yojana'. He also alleged PM Modi had failed to contain prices of pulses.
Expressing concern over the spurt in the incidents of fire and shortage of potable water due to increasing temperature that singed the entire state, Prasad suggested that yagna, havan, should be postponed till the weather becomes favourable as it has been witnessed that sparks emanating from yagna and havan could be the source of fire.
Prasad, who appealed people to be cautious enough so that fire did not break in their houses, said that four to six wells should be dug in every village keeping in mind the problems being faced by people for getting drinking water.
The RJD chief said he would talk to the state government for extending its help for digging of wells.
