Kerala: Engineering entrance scores out, ranks later
The Answer Keys of the Entrance were published on April 28
Thiruvananthapuram: The scores of engineering entrance examinations conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations have been announced on Tuesday. The ranks will be announced only later after normalisation process. Medical rank list will be delayed over the uncertainty over the fate of medical entrance examination conducted by CEE.
Uncertainty on medical admissions was however, coming to an end with President Pranab Mukharjee signing the ordinance that states who conducted their own entrance examinations can admit students from their own entrance. The ordinance has made clear that National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) would not be applicable for MBBS and BDS medical admission for the whole country this year.
The scores secured for Engineering Entrance Examination have been prepared on the basis of the Entrance Examination conducted on April 25 (Paper-I: Physics and Chemistry) and April 26 (Paper-II: Mathematics). Candidates who have not appeared for both the Papers of the Engineering Entrance Examination and those who have scored less than 10 (with exception of SC/ST candidates) in each paper of the Engineering Entrance Examination have been ‘Disqualified’.
The results of 264 candidates under Engineering Stream have been withheld (WHELD) for various reasons. The results will be available at the websites www.cee-kerala.org and www.cee.kerala.gov.in. The Answer Keys of the Entrance Examinations were published on April 28. A few complaints regarding the questions and answer keys have been received and the same have been examined by Expert Committees constituted for the purpose.
Based on the recommendations of the Expert Committees, some modifications have been made in the Answer Keys of the Engineering Entrance Examination. Those candidates who have qualified in the Engineering Entrance Examination will have to submit the marks obtained by them in the qualifying examination (Plus Two or equivalent) for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology in order to prepare the Engineering rank list after normalisation process.
The facility for submission of marks online will be available from May 30 onwards in the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in. Detailed notification for submission of marks in the qualifying examination will be issued separately later.
