Jagananna Suraksha outreach starts
VIJAYAWADA: NTR district collector Dr. S. Dilli Rao, Vijayawada Municipal Corporation commissioner Swapnil Dinakar Pundkar and 4th Division corporator Kalapala Ambedkar started the Jagananna Suraksha mass outreach programme in several areas of the Vijayawada city on Saturday.
The collector visited several households and explained the government welfare scheme to the people. He enquired about their problems and services they have received from volunteers.
Dilli Rao asked people to use the newly started Jagananna Suraksha programme, which provides all services to people at their doorstep. He said 10,256 gram / ward volunteers under 605 gram / ward sachivalayams in all 16 mandals, four municipalities and Vijayawada Municipal Corporation will go to every house under the Suraksha programme.
The collector said under this survey, if an eligible person has not received any welfare scheme, then the team members who have visited that person should know the reason. He said the team members should collect the required documents from the person and resolve the problem. In other words, people need not go to government offices for any certificates, he underlined.
Vijayawada municipal commissioner Dinakar said volunteers will inform people about the timing of their visit in advance. The head of the family should allot 30 minutes for the survey, he said. VMC additional commissioner K.V. Satyavathi participated in the programme.
