Counselling for Eamcet-2 delayed in Telangana
The government had decided to go ahead with counselling even though a CID probe is on into the alleged leak of exam question papers.
Hyderabad: Taking a U-turn on holding counselling for admission to medical and dental colleges for students who cleared Eamcet-2, the Telangana state government on Sunday said counselling would be postponed by about a week.
On Saturday, the government had decided to go ahead with counselling even though a CID probe is on into the alleged leak of exam question papers.
On Sunday, Kaloji Narayana Rao Telangana Health University vice-chancellor Dr. B. Karunakar Reddy said counselling would be conducted after about a week after the CID files a report of its investigations into the alleged lead.
The state government had planned to allot seats after the CID probe report was out. According to sources, certificate verification and counselling were delayed due to the anger and concern among parents and students over the paper leak allegations.
