Cops clueless about Asianet news channel car attackers
The state and district police chiefs had promised a thorough investigation the case.
ALAPPUZHA: Police found no clue regarding assailants who attacked a TV channel vehicle here on Thursday. The vehicle was parked in front of the Alappuzha office of Asianet news channel. According to North Police which is investigating the case, the probe is underway. Nobody has been caught in connection with the incident. The investigation is progressing based on the CCTV footage taken from nearby shops and houses, mobile towers in the adjacent areas. However, we got no clue yet,” the police said.
It was at around 3 am the vehicle was attacked by assailants. The rear and front glasses of the vehicle were shattered with concrete block. The state and district police chiefs had promised a thorough investigation the case. The dog squad and fingerprint experts also inspected the spot. The incident came at a time when the channel was consistently running stories against alleged illegal activities relating to transport minister Thomas Chandy.
