MLA Raja Singh alleges threat calls on mobile; files complaint
The legislator said he received the call on his personal mobile number
Hyderabad: BJP Goshamahal MLA T. Raja Singh on Wednesday said that he received calls threatening to harm him, his family and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath before the election counting day.
In the complaint that the BJP MLA lodged with the commissioner of police, Hyderabad, he said, “The caller claimed to have a plan to kill me.
Furthermore, they mentioned a plan to harm me and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, during his election campaign in my Goshamahal constituency which is scheduled to occur soon. The duration of the call was approximately six minutes.”
The legislator said he received the call on his personal mobile number.
“I request your department to take immediate action on this matter. I have already commenced my election campaign and padyatra in my constituency, and a considerable number of people are visiting my office for election-related purposes,” he wrote in the complaint.
Highlighting the threat to UP CM Yogi Adityanath, the BJP leader wrote, “Although I have encountered threatening calls in the past, it is imperative that the authorities address this particular threat, especially given the mention of targeting the UP CM.”
