Calf Killed, Tiger Movement Suspected in Adilabad district

Adilabad: The people of bordering villages on the banks of Penganga panicked after the movement of a tiger was found in the forests of Bheempur mandal as a calf was found dead in the same locality in the Adilabad district. It is said that the calf was mauled to death by the tiger.

A few days ago, a tiger, by crossing the river Penganga, entered Bheempur from Thippeshwar Tiger Reserve of Maharashtra.

Forest staff were keeping a close watch and tracking the movements of the big cat, apart from alerting the residents of the villages of the mandal.
