SP Counsels Underage Drivers, Families in Kadapa
Anantapur: Kadapa police organised counselling for 1,0004 underage and drunk drivers along with their families at the Police Parade Ground in Kadapa on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Siddarth Kaushal said their special initiative is aimed at educating people about promoting road safety and making Kadapa an accident-free city.
Majority of violations pertain to driving without license and violating traffic rules, including triple riding and driving dangerously.
The SP said however much pressure their son or daughter may bring upon them, they should not let them drive a two-wheeler till they do not reach the eligible age of driving and get a driving license.
Siddarth Kaushal told youngsters: “You shouldn’t try to emulate the stunts performed by your favourite film heroes on their bikes. In case you indulge in such stunts, you end up playing with your lives.
Likewise, he asked people to start early, rather than race against time.
The SP also advised youth not to roam purposelessly on city streets during night times.
Additional SP (Admin) Tushar Dudi, additional SP (AR) S.S.S.V Krishna Rao, DSP (AR) B. Ramanaiah, Kadapa DSP M.D. Shareef, inspectors of the city region and parents of under-aged youth were present at the function.
