Piravom-based Agropark Mini opens tomorrow
More than 26 leading manufacturers from the state and outside are exhibiting their machines in the centre.
Kochi: The Piravom-based Agropark, an established agri and food business incubator, will launch Agropark mini, an innovative centre to introduce and familiarize machines relevant to micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs in food and agriculture sectors. The centre, the first of its kind in the state, will also provide training in technology, packaging, marketing and branding. The centre will be inaugurated on Saturday by Anoop Jacob MLA.
More than 26 leading manufacturers from the state and outside are exhibiting their machines in the centre. The Agropark Mini also offers the service of chemists, food technologists, microbiologists and packaging experts which will help new entrepreneurs to make qualitative changes in their product's technology and packing. The Agropark mainly focuses on providing technical expertise and training for small scale business ventures involving minimum investment.
Technologies developed by leading government and private research firms and the proven and successful formulas of established entrepreneurs will be shared at the incubator. There is an NRI incubation centre at the Park which aims at providing technical guidelines for those returning from overseas and want to be an entrepreneur.
