HYDERABAD: Co-working spaces in Hyderabad are changing the way start-ups celebrate Christmas-New Year. Some private co-working spaces have arranged pocket-friendly Christmas celebrations for start-ups. Co-working style of functioning involves many start-ups sharing the workplace but remaining independent in terms of business. The owners of working places are doing their bit by infusing cheer among the employees incubating with them.

Monika Mishra of Ikeva co-working space located in Hitec City says, “We have put up the seasonal decor complete with a Christmas tree, lights and bells to enhance the festive atmosphere for start-ups housed here. There’ll also be Secret Santa gifting away little goodies to everybody working here. All this helps in cross-company bonding among people.”

Number of co-working spaces has increased in Hyderabad in the recent past. Co-working space Jxtapose in Jubliee Hills has extended an invite to collaborators. Says one employee at Jxtapose, “Our year-end celebrations entail a family gathering of co-workers and other members of the creative community.”

However, T-Hub which is incubating 200 start-ups is experiencing a somewhat lacklustre festive season this time as many members have either taken off on a vacation or are busy working for the next deadline.
