Three colleges in Kerala get NAAC top accreditation
This is the second NAAC inspection taking place in Rajagiri and it had got National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in all eligible departments as well.
KOCHI: Three colleges from Kerala have received top accreditation of A+ and A of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which is an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission, in its latest assessment held in 2017. These are Mar Athnasius College, Kothamangalam in arts and science category with A+ and Rajagiri School of Engineering and Technology in the engineering category with A grade and Sir Syed College, Taliparamba with A grade in the arts and science category.
This is the second NAAC inspection taking place in Rajagiri and it had got National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in all eligible departments as well. This is the third NAAC inspection taking place in Mar Athnasius and Sir Syed colleges. NAAC inspection takes place in a college in each five years, which is classified in cycles, and is crucial in getting UGC and AICTE funding for colleges. In the first cycle inspection held this year, NAAC awarded Mangalam College of Engineering, Ettumanoor, Kottayam with B+, KVM College of Special Education, Maruthorvattom, Cherthala, and Sree Narayana College, Chengannur, with B grade. The Government College, Mokeri, Kakkattil, Kozhikode has received B+ in the second cycle NAAC inspection.
