Foetus recovered from drain

Hyderabad: The Jawaharnagar police recovered a foetus dumped in a drain at Bhavaninagar on Saturday afternoon. Locals who had spotted it alerted the police. Police suspect the foetus might have been aborted at home and not in a hospital.

Police said investigations in the case were on, adding that it was difficult to identify the gender since the foetus was in a premature stage. It was sent to Gandhi Hospital for further investigation.
