Constituency riddled with woes, leaders lack political will: Bagegowda JD(S)
The Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex built at a whopping cost of Rs 20 crore is in terrible condition.
You have started to tour the constituency. What are the major complaints you have come across?
Except for some parts of NR Colony, the whole constituency is still riddled with issues which could have been solved had there been political will. The parking complex at Gandhi Bazaar is nowhere to be seen, traders are being harassed by he police, there is severe water shortage in all of the six BBMP wards and there aren't any proper streetlights. The Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex built at a whopping cost of Rs 20 crore is in terrible condition.
What plans do you have for the people of the constituency?
Forget about plans. Shouldn’t we treat our constituency like our home? Don't we strive to keep our house clean, supply the essential ration, water and other stuff and take care of the needs which arise from time to time? We should have the same feeling towards our constituency. Then all things will fall into place.
How confident are you of winning the election this time? Last time you came a runner-up.
I have been going on a padayatra in the constituency. Janata Dal (S) supremo, Deve Gowda too has visited the area. My interaction with people from different walks of life like traders, auto drivers, and residents shows that all are fed up with the sitting MLA as he has not done any work for them for the past 10 years. I have received an overwhelming response during my campaign and an sure the people will vote for me this time.
