Karnataka PU results: After leak, now a dip

The pass percentage has come down by nearly 3 per cent as compared to last year.

Bengaluru: The Department of Pre-University Education (PUE) announced the much-awaited II PUC final exam results on Wednesday. The pass percentage has come down by nearly 3% as compared to last year.

Primary and Secondary Education Minister Kimmane Rathnakar released the results, which stood at 57.20% as against 60.54% last year. Girls, with a pass percentage of 64.78, again did better than boys, whose pass percentage is at 50.02. Urban students with a pass percentage of 57.36 have outshone their rural counterparts, who secured 56.66%. The supplementary exam will be held from July 1 and the students can apply online, the minister said.
