Fire at Mysuru RBI currency unit

Mysuru: A minor fire was reported at the RBI currency paper unit in Mysuru in Metgalli police limits on Monday. The incident occu rred after a furnace oil tank near the press on the RBI campus reportedly overheated. It was controlled in no time, and no damage was reported, police officials said.

The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be ascertained. Three fire extinguishers from RBI and two from Saraswathipuram were rushed to the spot. RBI authorities are to yet to file a complaint, the police said.
