Rains forecast for Andhra Pradesh
VISAKHAPATNAM: A cyclonic circulation over Northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, which now lies over south Jharkhand and neighbourhood, extends upto 4.5 km above mean sea level and another cyclonic circulation over north interior Tamil Nadu and neighbourhood, now lies over south interior Tamil Nadu and neighbourhood at 5.8 km above mean sea level, might bring rains to the coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema, IMD release said on Thursday.
The IMD report said that though it might not become low pressure, it could bring moderate rains to the state.
It said under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over Tamil Naidu, thunderstorms accompanied with lightening likely at isolated places over North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema from August 26 to August 29.
