Bharath Hospital ousts 60 striking nurses
The hospital ousted 17 nurses initially for striking for better wages.

Kottayam: The Bharath Hospital authorities on Monday dismissed 60 nurses on strike demanding the reinstatement of 17 others sacked earlier. They said the decision followed the mediation held at the High Court on Monday.
Aswathy, one of the striking nurses, said the management was maintaining that they had no right to strike, which has reached the 50th day. The hospital ousted 17 nurses initially for striking for better wages. The nurses decided to go ahead with the strike demanding a review of the management's decision.
