CM Pinarayi Vijayan promises to end queue at Medical College Hospital

Thiruvananthapuram: The government plans to end the queue system at Government Medical College Hospital OP. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that an online OP ticket system will be introduced, while inaugurating the new sky walk at the hospital. The number of patients who visit Medical College OP is over 10 lakhs.

The number of inpatients is over a lakh. Lakhs are brought to casualty. It was important to end the queue at OP counter, the Chief Minister said. Even those who are not computer literate will be able to use the system, as there will be provisions for the same, he said. The project will be modelled after AIIMS in Delhi.
