GHMC identifies 738 Encroachments on Nalas

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has identified 738 encroachments, 172 compound walls and 258 sheds built on nalas affecting the natural flow of water.

Illegal multi-storied buildings built on storm water drains have been identified, around 179 single storied buildings, 117 – double storied, 51 – triple level, 22 ground plus four floors and four five-storied buildings.

The GHMC plans to axe these illegal encroachments and will provide structural compensation of about Rs 39.73 crores.
