Party activists tattooing faces of candidates and election symbols on own bodies
The trend is majorly evident in the erstwhile Adilabad district
Adilabad: The election campaign has experienced a new trend this time. Party activists, especially youths, are tattooing the faces of their candidate as also the election symbol on their bodies, mainly on the chest and hands.
They also post photographs of their leader/candidate on social media by displaying the tattoos on their bodies. This trend is majorly evident in the erstwhile Adilabad district.
Naranshetti Purushotham of Gimma village tattooed BRS candidate Jogu Ramanna’s face on his chest to express his love and affection for the leader as part of the election campaign.
BJP activist Vikas of KRK colony in Adilabad got the face of BJP candidate Payal Shankar tattooed on his chest. He posted the picture on social media.
Sanjay of Gandhinagar colony in Adilabad town got a tattoo of Jogu Ramanna on his hand and the photo went viral on social media. Sanjay has been actively participating in the election campaign in support of the BRS candidate.
“Many youths are doing this during the present election campaign in the Adilabad assembly constituency,” a campaigner said.
Candidates are pleasantly surprised when their supporters show the tattoos of their faces on their bodies while they take rounds of the villages during the election campaign.
A supporter of the Congress and contesting candidate Vedma Bojju also tattooed his leader’s face on his body in the Khanapur assembly constituency.
