Hyderabad: In compliance to the order of Supreme Court dated November 4, 2022, with regard to higher pensions, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) said in a statement that pensioners could apply digitally/online through the URL https://unified portal mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface for validating their options.

Each application will be registered and digitally logged, the EPFO said, and the receipt number would be provided to the applicant. Each application would land into the employer's login where verification with e-sign will be essential for further processing, the statement said.

Those who are eligible are pensioners who as employees had contributed under paragraph 26(6) of EPF Scheme on salary exceeding the prevalent wage ceiling of Rs 5,000 or Rs 6,500 and  exercised joint option under the proviso to Para 11(3) of the pre-amendment scheme while being members of EPS-1995 and their exercise such option was declined by PF authorities.
