Passport office staff’s sparkling G20 tribute winning hearts

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad regional passport office (RPO), which has been winning accolades from all over for the speed with which it is clearing applications, had visitors to the office dazed with two artistic 10 feet high installations themed around G20.

The most amazing aspect has been that they have been made entirely from waste material in keeping with this year's Swachhata Pakhwada theme of ‘Wealth out of waste’. Made of hardboard carton boxes and waste papers, there is an installation each in the front and back side of RPO office.

The office took this creative call to celebrate India’s G20 presidency and the ‘StartUp20’ meeting being hosted here on January 28 and 29.

Dasari Balaiah, RPO, said, "Despite the extra load of application clearance on them, the staff took up the initiative on an enthusiastic note. We did not spend a single rupee on the creations, which, when illuminated, add glow to the ambience."
