Ankush, Ankita win INA cross-country race

KANNUR: Daredevil Squadron emerged victorious in the inter squadron novices cross-country championship for the first term cadets and naval orientation cadets, held at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) here at Ezhimala on Sunday. The championship was flagged off by Rear Admiral Amit Vikram, Principal, Indian Naval Academy (INA). As many as 225 Cadets from the six squadrons of the Academy participated in the event.

Cadet Ankush Dwivedi of Eagle Squadron secured the first position, clocking 32 minutes and 50 seconds. Cadet Ankita Shambhudas of Eagle Squadron stood first among female cadets with a timing of 38 minutes and 37 seconds. Male cadets ran a course of 8 km across varying terrain in and around Ezhimala. There were also 20 female cadets, who ran a 6-km stretch. Rear Admiral Amit Vikram presented the trophies and individual prizes to the winners.
