Fasting day of prayer for Father Tom Uzhunnalil's release

Kozhikode: Malayora Vikasana Samithi president Sibi Vayalil will observe a one-day fast on April 29 at Mananchira Square demanding that the Union government take immediate action for the release of Fr Tom Uzhunnalil, who was kidnapped by IS terrorists.

Kozhikode bishop Mar Varghese Chalakkal will inaugurate the event and Major Archbishop Cardinal Mar George Aalancheri will deliver the prayer message. The council will give petition to the Prime Minister, Minister of External Affairs and to the Pope Francis.
