I will be re-elected based on my work: Munirathna
While I have done my best as an MLA, I am also keen on easing traffic at several critical junctions here, Munirathna.
Why do you think you will be re-elected?
I will definitely be re-elected. The development I have brought to the constituency over the last five years will certainly help me get re-elected. I am probably the only MLA, who has fully and effectively utilised the funds given with 99.9 per cent results. We have asphalted roads in all wards except one ,where 60 per cent of the work has been completed. We have covered 900kms of the 964 kms of roads in the entire constituency.
What do you have to say about the many allegation against you?
When my rivals have nothing else to talk about, they indulge in mudslinging. I am ready to answer all of them as they are completely baseless. Of the three cases against me, there is a stay order in one and I have sought quashing of the FIR in another. The third relates to the use of vehicles during the last assembly election.
Will caste play a crucial role this time?
People want development and cannot be fooled or lured by such cheap politics. Caste- based politics will not work as people will only vote for those who have lived up to their promises and carried out developmental work.
What are your future plans for the constituency?
While I have done my best as an MLA, I am also keen on easing traffic at several critical junctions here. My greatest ambition is to have Namma Metro extended here from Mysuru Road and Tumakuru Road, and to have a six lane road between BEL Circle and Dr. Rajkumar Punyasamadhi. I would also like the Sumanahalli and Tumakuru road junctions to be signal- free and develop lakes in the constituency
