Violence on, bikes, houses destroyed in Muchukunnu

KOZHIKODE: Vehicles and houses of opposition workers were destroyed in Muchukunnu near Koyilandy in the wee hours of Thursday. The bikes of BJP worker Papparipoyil Santhosh and his neighbour Vipeesh were gutted. Santhosh’s bike was fully destroyed and Vipeesh’s partially. A window near the car porch was also destroyed in the attack.

The car of a Congress worker Puthukkudi Kunhi Moideen also came under attack. They smashed its windscreens. The windowpanes of his house were also destroyed in stone pelting. Police inspected the area. The Congress and BJP local leaders staged protest over the incidents. After the election-related violence in the area, an all-party meeting in Koyilandy had called for peace.
