bizman fined for using actress’ pic

Hyderabad: A cloth merchant, who had used  the pictures of a film actress pictures for advertisement without her permission, was fined by the consumer forum after a student had complaint against the trader.

The student, who studies in Osmania University, had filed the petition against Heman Saree store in Sulthan bazar for using the picture of  Sruthi Hasan for advertisement.  

Following the petition, the Consumer redressal form fined the merchant for `7,000 and issued notices not to repeat this as it is unethical to use the picture of famous personalities without their consent. The forum asked the merchant to pay the fine to the complaint.

The compliant, however,  donated the entire fine along with an additional `4,000  to a person named P. Devaiah, who had won a bronze medal in the International Yoga and was now bed ridden due to negligence in treatment.
