Hyderabad: A bank employee was arrested by Chaitanyapuri police on Tuesday for sexually exploiting a woman under the pretext of marriage and then cheating her.
Chaitanyapuri police said that accused Erra Vam-shi Krishna, 28, an employee at ICICI Bank, Nanakramguda branch, is a resident of Gajularamaram, Medchal.
He lured the woman, 28, a resident of Mohannagar, by professing love and later exploited her under the pretext of marriage.
When the girl began to pressurise him to marry her, Vamshi began to avoid her.
Based on a complaint filed by the victim, Chaitany-apuri police arrested Vamshi under sections 417, 420, 493, 323, 354 D, 376 (1), 506 and 312 of the Indian Penal Code and produced him before the court for judicial remand, the police said.
