YSRC government neglecting housing, says TD
Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam Visakhapatnam president Palla Srinivasa Rao on Wednesday accused YSRC government of neglecting housing for the poor in north Andhra.
Addressing a press conference at the TD office here, he said after coming to power in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has forgotten his promises made in this regard.
Pointing to the instance of CM laying the foundation stone for 50,000 houses in the R5 zone of Amaravati, Palla said in the process, Jagan Mohan Reddy has forgotten north Andhra in the matter of housing. Even if they are at certain places, the houses are 25–30 km away from the main city, he pointed out.
The TD city president expressed confidence that people of AP are ready to teach an appropriate lesson to Jagan Mohan Reddy in this regard.
On construction of an intersection park at Siripuram junction, he pointed out that the park has ended up causing traffic problems at the junction. He demanded that GVMC remove the park immediately.
Former MLA and Vizag South constituency TD in-charge Gandi Babji, who attended the press conference, said the situation in Jagananna colonies is very bad. “No one knows where their land is, as the colonies are full of stagnant rainwater,” he stated.
