Telangana NRI purchases land on Moon for mom
KARIMNAGAR: Following the success of Chandrayaan-3 mission by the ISRO, proving that she loves her mother to the moon and back, a woman NRI settled in USA, who hails from the Peddapalli district, has purchased a plot on the Moon for her mother. She received the documents after completing the process of registration from the 'International Lunar Registry’.
According to the sources, Sai Vignatha is the daughter of Singareni employee Suddala Ramchandram and Vakuladevi, both residents of G.M. Colony of Godavarikhani town. She is working as a project manager and financial advisor to Governor Kimberly Kay Ronalds of Lowa State in the United States of America.
After learning that registration for land on the Moon can be done through a website pertaining to the ‘International Lunar Registry’ in New York, she decided to present a memorable gift to her mother who strived hard for her growth.
On Mother’s Day, Sai Vignatha had applied for one acre of land on the Moon in 2022 with Lunar Registry in the name of her mother Vakula Devi and her daughter Artha as well.
Sai Vignatha got the registration documents regarding the lunar plot purchased for Rs 35 lakh per acre two days after the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft by ISRO.
