Vizag student dies in car accident

 VISAKHAPATNAM: A 20-year-old third year computer science engineering student Pratyek, resident of Kirlampudi, died when the car he was driving met with an accident near INS Kalinga on Saturday morning.

Two students accompanying him, CSC student Akhilesh, 20, who was in the front passenger seat, and BBA student P.S Laxmi, 20, who was in back seat escaped with minor injuries.

The three friends had gone to a star hotel at Bhimili for breakfast. While returning, Pratyek lost control of his car and hit a tree near Naval Station INS Kalinga, leading to his death.

Sub-inspector Bharat said the car was speeding at 80–90 kmph. “When the car was about to hit the road divider, Pratyek swerved to the extreme right hand side and hit a tree with force. Though Pratyek and Akhilesh had worn seat belts, air bags of the car did not open, the SI stated.
