Thiruvananthapuram: The reworked KPCC list was rejected by  AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi following the objections raised by MPs Shashi Tharoor and K. V. Thomas.   Mr Rahul Gandhi  lashed out at the KPCC leadership  before the Congress MPs from the state who called on him in New Delhi.  He also pulled up central election authority chairman Mullapally Ramachandran who could revamp the remaining 28 states and seven union territories, but proved helpless  in his home state.  Mr Rahul maintained that the third list submitted by the KPCC leadership on Tuesday  was  ‘group laden.’

"The Congress factions in the Kerala are not bound by ideology, but are purely individualistic. They  unite when in need and shunt out those  not attached to any groups,"   Mr Rahul told Mr Mullapally and Mr Thomas. While the ‘A’ group led by former chief minister Oommen Chandy has been resorting to ‘pressure tactics,’  the ‘I’ group led by opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala has taken a soft stand. CWC member  A. K. Antony told reporters in  Kochi on Thursday that the imbroglio on the list will be settled.   Mr  Shashi Tharoor MP   said here that he did not wish to court controversy and  hoped  that the KPCC leadership will come out with a fair  list soon.
