AP student killed in US mishap, another survives
Vijayawada: Student from AP is one among the three killed in a tragic road accident at Connecticut in the United States during the late hours of Tuesday. Another student, also from AP, has survived with minor injuries.
Patamsetti Sai Narasimha, 23, hailing from Kadiapulanka village of Kadiam mandal in East Godavari, had gone to the US on August 5 for pursuing his master’s degree at the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
His father Srinivas has a plant nursery and his mother Susheela is a housewife. His sister Nandini is also a software engineer and is working in Chennai.
According to information reaching his parents, Narasimha, along with seven others, had been vacationing, travelling in a minivan. A pickup truck hit the van resulting in the death of three persons including two men and a woman on the spot. Five persons sustained injuries. Among them is Siddireddy Aishwarya, also hailing from Kadiapulanka village, who has survived with minor injuries.
Narasimha had earlier made a video call to his parents, sharing with them how he had been celebrating Diwali festival with his friends.
His father Srinivas said, “It is very unfortunate that we lost him. He had got a job in campus placement after completion of his B. Tech. We advised him to continue working. But, he wanted to pursue MS in the US and convinced us to let him go. We agreed, as he desired to do his master’s course. But his life has ended abruptly.”
A large number of villagers gathered at the house of the deceased to console his family members.
