Learning abilities and skills of weak students can improve in classroom through LIP

Vijayawada: Samagra Shiksha state project director Srinivasa Rao has said learning abilities and skills of academically backward students can be improved in the classroom through a Learning Improvement Programme (LIP).

Srinivasa Rao started a three-day residential training programme under the joint auspices of Samagra Shiksha, CIPS, Save the Children and UNICEF at the Andhra Loyola College 'YES- J Center for Excellence' on Thursday.

 The state resource persons who participated in this programme addressed 120 persons from five districts (Kadapa, Anantapur, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam). They said, “If education development efforts are made at the field level, great changes can be created in the education system.”

 The LIP Handbook was unveiled. Samagra Siksha ASPD KV Srinivasulu Reddy, CIPS (Center for Innovation in Public Systems) director Valli Manikkam, Save the Children representative Malladi Nagesh as also UNICEF and CIPS team members participated in the event.
