Nellore collects 1,600 units of blood

Referring to 1,600 units of blood collected only in Nellore, he appreciated the party men and fans for the voluntary donation.

Nellore: The All India Chiranjeevi Fans Association and Chiranjeevi Yuvatha jointly organised a blood donation camp in Nellore on Sunday to mark the birthday of Chiranjeevi's son Ram Charan. The Indian Red Cross Society, government hospital and Narayana hospital jointly participated in the programme and collected blood from the people.

Nellore district Congress president Panabaka Krishnaiah and PCC vice-president Chevuru Devakumar Reddy attended the programme. Speaking on the occasion, Panabaka Krishnaiah said, "The Chiranjeevi Yuvatha and the fans associations are in the forefront in extending services to the people not only in the state but across the nation."

Referring to 1,600 units of blood collected only in Nellore, he appreciated the party men and fans for the voluntary donation. He said that the blood donation camps will be held not only in Nellore city, but also in Gudur, Sullurupeta, Kavali and Atmakur constituencies and their target is to collect over 3000 units of blood.

He complimented the leaders of Chiranjeevi Yuvatha and fans associations such as Kotte Venkateswarlu, Ravi and others. Mr Krishnaiah also extended the birthday greetings to Ram Charan on the occasion.

District Congress BC Cell president Chilaka Srinivasulu, rural Congress president G. Sivachari, ST Cell president Ravuru Venkateswarlu and others participated in the programme.
