13 suffer food poisoning in Eluru

KAKINADA: Eating stale food caused food poisoning among 13 persons at Singavaram village in Denduluru mandal.

According to information, a function had been organised at Gundugolanu village in Bhimadole mandal on Wednesday. People of Singavaram carried the remaining food to their village and had it again on Thursday.

They soon turned ill and several of them became unconscious. They were immediately admitted to the government hospital in Eluru for treatment. Their condition is now stable.

Eluru RDO K. Penchala Kishore visited the hospital to check out the patients.
