HYDERABAD: The government has increased services under Arogyasri from 34 to 53 per cent, health minister T. Harish Rao said during a review meeting held on Tuesday.

The increase was due to the provision of modern facilities like eye scans, CT scan and cath labs under the scheme, as well as availability of Arogyasri services in CHCs and PHCs. Private hospitals accounted for 65 per cent of all surgeries in 2019-20, which has now come down to 47 per cent, he said. He directed officials to inquire why number of services under Arogyasri reduced in Karimnagar, Warangal and Khammam districts.
