Mukesh Ambani Gets Death Threat
The mail stated \"We Have Best Shooters In India\"
Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani received a death threat earlier this week, police said.
According to the cops, a person named Shadab Khan sent a mail in which he threatened to kill the industrialist if he did not give him Rs 20 crore. The threat was issued on October 27.
“If you don’t give us 20 crore rupees, we will kill you. We have the best shooters in India,” the email read.
Following a complaint by the security officials at Ambani’s Mumbai residence, Antilia, the police registered a case. Gamdevi police of Mumbai registered a case against the unknown person under Sections 387 and 506(2) of IPC and began investigation.
It is pertinent to note that this is not the first time that Mukesh Ambani has received the death threats.
Last year, the Mumbai police had arrested a man from Bihar for making anonymous calls threatening to target Mr Ambani and his family members. The unknown caller had even threatened to blow up the HN Reliance Foundation Hospital along with the Ambani family residence Antilia in south Mumbai.
In 2021, an SUV laden with explosives was spotted near Ambani’s residence in Mumbai. The owner of the SUV, businessman HIran, was found dead in a creek in neighbouring Thane after a few days.
