Niti Aayog asks AP officials to make best of 2047 vision plan

Vijayawada: The additional secretary to Niti Aayog, V. Radha, has asked the AP officials to ensure that the AP State Vision plan is the best in the country so that other states would follow the concept.

Radha said the three-day workshop was successful and many eminent persons made useful suggestions. There were fruitful discussions on manufacturing, as also social and primary sectors.

The additional secretary said discussions would continue for one more week, during which intensive rounds would be held on leadership etc.

As a part of a three-day workshop, a prolonged discussion was held on education in AP. The topics included the worldwide changes in the education system. Well-known educationists and intellectuals gave suggestions. Once incorporated in the vision plan, these would be taken up with the central government for making suitable changes in liaison with the central educational institutions.

 AP’s special secretary to school education, Praveen Prakash, gave a power point presentation. He explained how AP was implementing the changes in the school education system in tune with the central institutions. “Educational standards and literacy rate are being increased and all kinds of training are being given to the students so that they could compete at the global level.”

He also explained how the state government brought in revolutionary changes in the education system.

Prakash spoke about how the government was making efforts to reach the aims of the school education set as per the AP State Vision Plan 2047.

Chairman of the AP state council for higher education, Hemachandra Reddy, in a power point presentation explained the programmes being implemented in higher education and their aims – namely, quality training, skills, capacity building, social awareness and employment.

Commissioner of school education and skill development special secretary Suresh Kumar spoke about the activities of Skill Development Corporation, technical education, employment generation, entrepreneur development society and the national academy of construction.

Several senior officials, Niti Aayog adviser Pardhasarathi Reddy, public policy experts and educational consultants were present.
