VIJAYAWADA: A fake government order (GO) increasing the retirement age of government employees to 65 years created a sensation throughout Andhra Pradesh on Saturday.
It forced the state government to call the GO under circulation a fake. The government ordered police to take action against those who initiated the circulation of the fake GO.
In a rejoinder, special chief secretary (Finance) clarified that no such GO increasing the retirement age of government employees from 62 years to 65 years has been issued. The CS advised government staff not to get misled by this false GO 15.
“The government is taking steps for filing an FIR and taking criminal action against the perpetrators as per the law,” the special chief secretary underlined.
