Constables Neelkamal and Giriraj Prasad were awarded the Jeevan Suraksha medal for saving lives despite grave danger to themselves
Hyderabad: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) on Saturday awarded its personnel with the DG Insignia, the Uthkrist medal and Jeevan Suraksha award for excellence.
Raja Ram, IG, South Central Railways (SCR), and Debashmitha C. Banerjee, senior divisional security commissioner, presented the DG Insignia for personnel who had served for 15 years and had a clean record.
Constables Neelkamal and Giriraj Prasad were awarded the Jeevan Suraksha medal for saving lives despite grave danger to themselves. They are part of the Shakti Team of the RPF.
Sub-inspectors V. Pragnya and Sravani Reddy were awarded for their arrest of a gang responsible for 48 thefts.
Secunderabad RPF inspector M. Ravi Babu, assistant sub-inspectors R. Srinivas and K. Koteshwar Rao and head constable U. Sheema were awarded the Uthkrist medal for conspicuous devotion, skill and courage.
Head constable P. Ramesh and constable Dinesh Singh were awarded for their performance.
