TU VC to petition CM against Naveen Mittal
HYDERABAD: Telangana university Vice Chancellor D. Ravinder said that he would complain against Collegiate Commissioner Naveen Mittal for withholding Rs 20 crore funds meant for the university.
“We will complain to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao and education minister P. Sabitha Indra Reddy,” he said.
Speaking to reporters at the varsity campus in Dichpally of Nizamabad district on Saturday, Prof. Ravinder said that decisions taken by the executive council without the presence of the chairman were null and void. Earlier, the EC members did not react when he suggested a meeting and now they conducted without the presence of chairman, he said.
As per High Court orders, appointment of M. Yadagiri as the varsity registrar will be set aside and a new registrar will be appointed soon, he said. Minister V. Prashanth Reddy and MLAs did not react when we took the problems of the university to their notice, he said.
Meanwhile, some student union leaders tried to disrupt the press conference of the Vice Chancellor.
